Vegetarian Ham & Tofu Fried Rice

This quick, easy recipe uses vegetarian ham and tofu for a boost of protein to a comforting fried rice!

INGREDIENTS:

  • Vegetarian Ham- chopped into bite 1cm cubes

  • DSI Tofu- chopped into bite sized pieces

  • 1 cup of rice (cooked)

  • 1/2 cup of edamame beans - defrosted if frozen

  • 1 pepper - chopped into bite-sized pieces

  • 3/4 cup of vegetarian oyster sauce

  • salt & pepper to taste

STEPS:

  1. Heat a medium-sized pan. Add oil once warm.

  2. Add vegetarian ham and tofu to pan. Cook for 1-2 minutes, just after both ingredients become lightly brown.

  3. Add peppers and edamame beans.

  4. Cook until all ingredients are cooked through and until ham and tofu have slightly brown corners. Feel free to cook until ham and tofu are even more crispy brown!

  5. Add rice and start adding a bit of vegetarian oyster sauce, mixing as you add the sauce so that it colours the rice evenly.

  6. Continue to add sauce until rice is evenly coated and to your preferred taste.

  7. Add salt and pepper to taste.

  8. Enjoy!
