Vegan Teriyaki Sausage

(Makes 2 servings)

 

Ingredients:

  • DSI Gluten Roll (4 gluten rolls, ~300g)

  • Oil

  • Celery root (2 celery stalks, chopped lengthwise)

  • Mushrooms (approx. 1 cup, roughly chopped)

  • Carrots (1 carrot, chopped lengthwise)

  • 1 tsp soy sauce

  • 2 tsp of water

  • ½ tsp salt, or to taste

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • 1 tbsp mushroom powder

  • ½ cup of your preferred soup base

  • Cooking wine

  • Coriander (for garnish)

Steps:

1. Heat pan or wok on medium heat. Add oil when hot. 

2. Add celery root, mushrooms, carrots to pot and fry until fragrant. 

3. Add soy sauce, water, salt, sugar, mushroom powder and soup base to boil. 

4. After boiling, mix cornstarch and water in a separate bowl, then add preferred amount of cornstarch mix with veggies until preferred thickness is reached. 

5. Mix in DSI Gluten Roll and mix until covered with sauce. Let gluten roll simmer to absorb flavour (about 5-8 mins). 

6. Add a splash of cooking wine and coriander to finish.
